Trey Songz picks up a 13th week atop R&B/Hip-Hop Songs making “Can’t Be Friends” the longest-running chart-topper since Maxwell‘s “Pretty Wings” spent 14 weeks at the summit in 2009. Besides Maxwell’s hit, only Mary J. Blige‘s “Be Without You” (15 weeks in 2006), Mariah Carey‘s “We Belong Together” (14 weeks in 2005) and Jamie Foxx‘s “Blame It” (14 weeks in 2009) have posted more No. 1 weeks than “Can’t Be Friends” since 2005.

Rihanna‘s “What’s My Name?,” featuring Drake, holds steady at No. 2 while Chris Brown’s “No BS” (4-3) passes Rick Ross‘ “Aston Martin Music,” featuring Drake and Chrisette Michele (3-4), for the No. 3 spot. Before beginning its descent, “Aston Martin Music” peaked at No. 2 on December 18, 2010 and remained there five weeks under Trey Songz’s reign.
Jamie Foxx reaches the top five for a seventh time as “Fall For Your Type,” featuring Drake, jumps 7-5 in its 12th week on the chart. This is Jamie’s best post since “Blame It” had its record run in 2009, the next best was “Digital Girl,” featuring Drake, Kanye West and The-Dream, which peaked at No. 37 on September 19, 2009.
Keri Hilson‘s “Pretty Girl Rock” stays put at No. 6 while Nicki Minaj‘s “Moment 4 Life,” featuring Drake, breaks into the top 10 leaping 11-7. As predicted last week, that brings Drake’s current count of top 10 titles to four, a feat that hasn’t been achieved since March 26, 2005 when 50 Cent had “Candy Shop” at No. 1, “Disco Inferno” at No. 10, and the Game‘s “How We Do” and “Hate It or Love It,” on which he is featured, at Nos. 6 and 7.
“Moment 4 Life” marks Drake’s 15th top 10 title on the list and Nicki’s sixth.
Waka Flocka Flame‘s “No Hands,” featuring Roscoe Dash and Wale, continues to fall moving 5-8 while Lil Wayne‘s “6 Foot 7 Foot,” featuring Cory Gunz jumps 12-9 to mark Wayne’s 22nd top 10 title. For Bronx newcomer Cory Gunz, the jump makes him the first new artist of 2011 to reach the upper tier.
Closing out the top 10 is Lloyd’s “Lay It Down” slipping 8-10 in its 23rd week.
There were a handful of new additions to R&B/Hip-Hop Songs this week. Kirk Franklin‘s “I Smile” bows at No. 51, his highest debut since 1999’s “Lean On Me” opened at No. 29. Nelly and Kelly Rowland team back up for “Gone,” a continuation of their 2002 hit “Dilemma” which spent 9 weeks atop the list, opening at No. 79. And Lloyd Banks posts another cut off “HFM2” with “I Don’t Deserve You,” featuring Jeremih, debuting at No. 92.
The top of R&B/Hip-Hop Albums stays pretty dormant this week as Nos. 1-7 retain their last week positions. The only moves in the top tier were Lil Wayne’s “I Am Not A Human Being” stepping 9-8, Cee Lo Green‘s “The Lady Killer” jumping 12-9 for a fourth week in the top 10, and Keyshia Cole‘s “Calling All Hearts” slipping 10-8.

The only new album to enter the chart this week is Bay Area rapper Watsky’s self-titled debut. It opens at No. 62 with 1,000 copies sold, according to Nielsen BDS.
