-Singer Miki Howard (“Ain’t Nobody Like You”) is independently releasing
her new album. “Private Collection” is comprised of five original songs written and produced by Howard and singer/musician Chuckii Booker plus five jazz standards co-produced by Howard and Brandon McCune. Available now, the set is distributed by Araca Entertainment.
-Rap label Slip N Slide Records expands into the pop arena with singer/songwriter Qwote. His first single, “I Don’t Want to Fight,” was initially released in two versions: one featuring Slip N Slide rapper Trina and a reggae-fused version with Shaggy. The single’s new video features Pitbull. Qwote is currently recording his debut album, which will be released later this year via Final Cut Records/Slip N Slide/Jive.
