— “Joe: Greatest Hits” will hit stores Oct. 14 via Jive/Zomba. Featured tracks include “I Wanna Know,” “All the Things (Your Man Won’t Do)” and “Stutter.”
— Kindred The Family Soul returns Oct. 21 with its third Hidden Beach CD, “The Arrival.” The title was inspired by husband and wife duo Aja Graydon and Fatin Dantzler’s newest addition to their family: twin girls. The project’s first single is “House of Love.” Producers on the album include Adam Blackstone, Dre & Vidal and Steve McKie. Best known for the hit singles “Far Away” and “Stars,” Kindred first came to prominence in 2003 with “Surrender to Love” followed by 2005’s “In This Life Together.”
— Kevon Edmonds, founder and lead singer of the ’90s group After 7, is recording his second solo CD. The yet-untitled set, due in March 2009, will be released through Make Entertainment/Image Distribution. Edmonds’ sibling Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Greg Curtis (Keyshia Cole) are among the project’s collaborators. Edmonds’ first solo CD was 1999’s gold-certified “24/7,” whose title track reached No. 2 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and No. 10 on The Billboard Hot 100.
