EMI is to release a DVD video collection alongside its multi-format “Radiohead: The Best Of” (Parlophone) on June 2 in the U.K.
The 20 videos on the Parlophone DVD include Radiohead promos directed by Jonathan Glazer (“Street Spirit (Fade Out)”), Michel Gondry (“Knives Out”) and Grant Gee (“No Surprises).
Videos for “Creep”, “Just”, “Karma Police”, “Paranoid Android” and “Pyramid Song” will also feature on the DVD, along with a live version of “2+2=5”. The compilation also includes the U.S. and U.K. promos for “High And Dry” from the band’s sophomore set “The Bends”.
The Radiohead “Best Of” album will be available as a 16-track CD, a special edition double CD with a further 13 tracks, a four-piece vinyl set and a 29-track download. All formats will be available from www.radioheadstore.com, although the site is currently only selling EMI’s seven-album box set and a DRM-free digital box set.
The band opted not to renew its relationship with EMI last year, releasing a landmark pay-what-you-want download of new album “In Rainbows” followed by a physical release with XL Recordings. It is their only digital album bundle available on iTunes (as well as other download stores) while the band’s EMI albums are only sold individually on the 7digital download service.
