R. Kelly and Pink are the latest artists to join the performance lineup for the 2003 Billboard Music Awards. They’ll join previously announced performers Sting, No Doubt, Beyoncé, Clay Aiken, Foo Fighters, Shania Twain and Evanescence on the Dec. 10 show at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, the two-hour event will air live on Fox at 8 p.m. ET (tape delayed on the West Coast).
OutKast, the Black Eyed Peas and Audioslave are among the artists newly confirmed to appear during the show. They join J.C. Chasez, Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz, Fabolous, Trapt and 3 Doors Down, as well as the previously confirmed Jessica Simpson, Nick Lachey, Dave Navarro, Kelly Clarkson, Celine Dion, Chingy and LL Cool J.
Other celebrities slated to appear during the broadcast are Adam Brody, Ben McKenzie and Mischa Barton from the Fox show “The O.C.,” Kathy Griffin, Shaun Morgan, Carmen Electra and Triumph The Insult Comic Dog.
As previously reported, 50 Cent leads the field as a finalist in six Billboard Music Awards categories. R. Kelly and Beyonc&é are each finalists in five categories, while Sean Paul and the Dixie Chicks are contenders in four.
