Jack-of-all-cultural-trades and New York Times bestselling author Questlove is back with another literary work full of wisdom and inspiration.
The musician, producer, designer, entrepreneur and professor shares a one-of-a-kind guide to living your best creative life in Creative Quest, including insight from colleagues such as Ava DuVernay, D’Angelo, George Clinton, David Byrne and Bjork.
Compiling all the lessons, philosophies and stories he has heard over the years from the countless collaborators and creators in his life, the 46-year-old’s reflection offers advice on many topics, including what it means to be creative, where to discover creativity, how to find a mentor, the wisdom of maintaining a creative network, coping with critics and specific pitfalls of contemporary culture.
The release of the forthcoming book follows Questlove’s 2013 memoir Mo’ Meta Blues and 2017’s Something to Food About: Exploring Creativity With Innovative Chefs, which was nominated for the 2017 James Beard Foundation Book Award. Creative Quest is available April 24.
