The big news on Queens of the Stone Age’s first album since 2007 is the presence of one Dave Grohl on the drum seat. He’s done it done before, on 2002’s “Songs For the Deaf.” The album will also include guest appearances by former QOTSA bassist Nick Oliveri, Trent Reznor and Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears. Member Josh Homme has acknowledged difficulty in finishing the group’s sixth release, but in a note to Britain’s Mojo he described the album, saying its’ “like running in a dream inside a codeine cabaret.” We’ll have some of what he’s having.
