Queen + Paul Rodgers have revealed plans for a six-week North American arena tour next spring, beginning March 3 in Miami and running through April 13 in Vancouver. The group tested the waters on this side of the Atlantic with single fall gigs in East Rutherford, N.J., and Los Angeles, after completing a successful tour internationally.
In October, the group, which features Rodgers filling in for the late Freddie Mercury, issued the live collection “Return of the Champions.” The double-disc set debuted at No. 13 in the United Kingdom and No. 84 on The Billboard 200.
Presales for some 2006 shows begin today (Nov. 30). Yesterday, guitarist Brian May took to his A Night at the Opera,” featuring a bonus DVD.
