As expected, MCA Nashville VP of field promotions George Briner joins BNA Records as national promotion director. He replaces Rick Moxley, who recently rose to the position of VP of national promotion.
The move reunites the two veteran promotion men. Both worked at Warner Bros. Nashville and Giant Records in the late ’80s and early ’90s.
Moxley says Briner’s “knowledge, passion, and dedication to this business are second to none.”
Briner’s more than twenty years in the country music industry began in 1984 as promotions director for KZLA/Los Angeles. His extensive background has also included tenures with DreamWorks, Magnatone, Curb/Universal, and the aforementioned Giant and Warner Bros.
Briner will relocate to Nashville from his current home in Milwaukee.
