Vancouver-based Macklam Feldman Management has inked a deal to represent producer and songwriter Brian Howes, best known for his work with the likes of Hinder and Hedley.
Howes produced Hinder’s four-million selling album “Extreme Behavior” and co-wrote the band’s hit “Lips of an Angel.” He also co-wrote songs for Daughtry, while his writing and production credits in the last year included Puddle of Mud, Chris Cornell, Avril Lavigne and Lifehouse.
Howes is currently working on Hinder’s sophomore album for Universal Republic, and will be launching his Interscope-affiliated joint venture label, Van Howes Records, in the spring with an album by New York rockers Revelation Theory.
In addition to managing Howe as a writer/producer, the agency will help oversee Van Howes Records and their client’s Van Howes Studio in downtown Vancouver.
Macklam Feldman Management is the Vancouver-based management company whose roster includes Joni Mitchell, Elvis Costello, The Chieftains, Norah Jones, Diana Krall, Ry Cooder, A Fine Frenzy, Jon McLaughlin, Hedley and The Bird and The Bee.
