Maybe you’ve heard that Prince (along with 3rdEyeGirl) will be the music guest on Saturday Night Live this weekend. Host Chris Rock certainly knows what a big deal this is: In the latest promos, Rock notes, “Any time you say the word ‘Prince,’ a woman will scream somewhere in the world,” before proceeding to verify this theory.
While we can’t wait to see what Prince will perform during his eight-minute set — special note/wish: It is the 30th anniversary of Purple Rain this year, hint hint — we also can’t wait to see what kind of fun the SNL crew has with Prince. (Is that allowed?)

To get ready for that side of things, we found a few of our favorite clips of Prince impressions over the years — mostly from former cast member Fred Armisen. “Prince is the greatest in a million different ways,” Armisen told Billboard. “I am always transfixed, any live show, any appearance, every recording.” Perhaps Armisen will make a cameo?
In the meantime, check out some of our favorite Prince sketches on Saturday Night Live below.
1. The Prince Show
In this recurring sketch, Armisen channeled Prince, and Beyonce (Maya Rudolph) was his hilarious fierce sidekick/official spokesperson. This episode features “Nick Lackey and Jessica Simpson,” a.k.a. Will Forte and Lindsay Lohan (!).
2.The Prince Show
Happy holidays from Prince and a white dove. Stay for Robert De Niro — and Prince’s De Niro impression.
3.The Prince Show
Five words: Janet Jackson portraying Paula Abdul.

4. Cold Opening
Julia Louis-Dreyfus kisses “Prince”; meanwhile, he’s devestated to learn Tina Turner is only the musical guest, not hosting.
5. “We Are the World”
Billy Crystal takes on Prince for a, um, different take on “We Are the World.”

Assuming Cyrstal or Armisen don’t return for a fun cameo, who from the current cast would you like to see impersonate Prince?
