The Purple One has come to Twitter.
Prince, who once called the Internet “completely over,” posted several tweets on Tuesday through the account of his current group, 3rd Eye Girl.
The tweets, poking fun at his online aversion, include a picture of what appears to be his dinner and a link to a 3rd Eye Girl live performance.

“CATCH THIS NOW B4 MY LAWYERS DEW,” he wrote of the video, a nod to his sharp eye for video copyright violations: in April, he issued a takedown request to Twitter’s Vine for the presence of his music in some of the service’s 6-second videos.
The new live video, dubbed “Let’s Go Crazy Reloaded,” is the first on 3rd Eye Girl’s account — perhaps a sign that more of his music, currently a YouTube rarity, may be heading online.
Prince’s tweeting spree was confirmed by Twitter’s Tatiana Simonian.
