Prince‘s protest song “Baltimore” was released in the wake of demonstrations surrounding the death of Freddie Gray while in police custody, as people took to the streets to speak out against a seemingly endless string of killings by police officers around the country. The Purple One also did a benefit concert at Baltimore’s Royal Farms Arena. Called the “Rally 4 Peace,” the show featured appearances by Miguel, Estelle and Doug E. Fresh.
