Independent music marketing, talent management and publishing company Primary Wave Music has signed iconic ’80s rock band The Go-Go’s for talent management.
The multi-platinum rock group rose to fame during the early ’80s after the release of their debut album, Beauty and the Beat, which was No. 1 on the Billboard charts for six consecutive weeks, selling 3 million copies, making it one of the most successful debut albums of all time. The band members celebrated the feat by famously posing on the cover of Rolling Stone in their underwear.

The Go-Go’s will join a talent management roster that currently includes artists such as Cee Lo Green, Melissa Etheridge, Eric Benet, Deborah Cox and Ginuwine, as well as writers/producers Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers), and Ali Tamposi (Kelly Clarkson), among others.
Primary Wave’s music publishing business was acquired by BMG Rights Management in September 2013 for $150 million.
