James Blake could not have picked a more soothing, hypnotizing visual for his “My Willing Heart” clip. In the video directed by The Fits‘ Anna Rose Holmer we see a very pregnant Natalie Portman languidly floating in a pool just days before the actress gave birth to her daughter Amalia.
The song, from the acclaimed 2016 The Colour in Anything album, opens with the lines: “The first time your name was used/ It was beauty and I knew,” as Jackie star Portman lies on a bed in dramatic profile and then swims through black and white shadows underwater. All the while, she touches her swollen belly and we get to see Amalia kicking and moving around in utero.
Portman and husband choreographer Benjamin Millepied, welcomed their daughter on Feb. 22, just days after the video was filmed. Their five-year-old son, Aleph, appears to have a cameo in the clip.
