Good guy Porter Robinson just swooped in to save the day for his friend and fellow producer Shadient. The two have been homies for a minute, the former having worked on a wild remix of Robinson’s “Fellow Feeling” back in 2015, and Robinson now helped him out in a time of need.
Robinson is clearly a fan of Shadient’s experimental style, so when he heard his friend’s writing computer died on him after nine years of solid service, he jumped on the internet and sent over a crisp $3,000 for the express purpose of getting Shadient’s studio back up and running.
“Porter did this to help me finish my album,” Shadient wrote on Twitter. He was recently signed by Robinson’s other friend Mat Zo‘s new label Mad Zoo, so expect the album there. Shadient also responded to a comment from REZZ, letting out the news that he’s working on an edit of “Relax,” noting it as the first project he plans to finish with the new PC.
Congrats to Shadient, and shout out Porter for being a real bud. Check the proof in the tweet below.
