If it’s one thing we’ve learned recently, it’s that animals don’t really like rock music.
The Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office in Montana shared a picture via Facebook on Tuesday (Sept. 11) of a massive bison blocking the road in oncoming traffic.
“Being a deputy around West Yellowstone comes with unusual duties, including herding bison off the highway so no one gets hurt,” the post reads. “When deputies respond to a bison on the road, they turn on lights and siren and encourage the animal to leave the road with an air horn.”
The post then added a funny detail: “With a reluctant bison, they’ve been known to play AC/DC’s Hell’s Bells over the speakers – that usually seems to work.”
The story is hilariously similar to another incident in which rock music was used to ward off unwanted animals. At the beginning of August, a woman in Vancouver, British Columbia, scared a cougar away by blasting “Don’t Tread on Me” by Metallica on her phone.
