
P!nk earns the No. 1 Hot Tours ranking for the second week in a row with $30.7 million in grosses reported from the European leg of her world tour. Last week, ticket totals from the tour’s North American leg dominated the Hot Tours tally with over $23 million in reported revenue.
The seven-week jaunt through Europe kicked off in Ireland on April 12 at the Dublin’s O2, a 14,000-seat indoor arena and continued through the end of May, wrapping in Herning, Denmark. With a total of 13 countries on the itinerary, P!nk performed for more than 424,000 fans at 29 concerts. The Truth About Love Tour is set to begin an 11-week tour leg on June 25 in Australia – 46 shows at six arenas in five cities through September 8.
Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour by Cirque du Soleil lands at No. 2 on the weekly top 10 tally with ticket sales revenue reported from four venues in Japan as the touring production continues its trek through Asia until late-August. All four Japanese venues hosted the tour for four-day runs that included two matinee performances in each city. A total of 24 shows from May 9 through June 2 produced ticket sales totaling $25.7 millionThe top-grosser was an $8.9 million run of concerts at the Saitama (Tokyo market) Super Arena.
Country superstar Kenny Chesney ranks third with grosses totaling $15.2 million reported from three stadiums, two outdoor amphitheaters and one arena on his No Shoes Nation Tour, on the road this summer in North American markets. His top-grossing stadium event in this week’s report is the June 8 sold out performance at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field with a crowd of 50,962 in attendance. Chesney has included the home stadium of the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles on every tour since 2007 – six concerts attended by more than 311,000 fans. His June 1 performance at CenturyLink Field in Seattle marked his fourth headlining turn at the stadium since 2006, and this year’s outing is his third consecutive tour to play Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium.
