In a bid to reach the Latin marketplace, mobile aggregator/distributor PlayPhone has launched an all Spanish language site, playphone.com/espanol, dedicated to mobile content for mobile phones.
The offering features translated content from PlayPhone’s main site but will increasingly be customized for the Latin user.
Already, PlayPhone sells a broad array of Latin music, in addition to graphics, games and other content, including branded content from ABC, Cartoon Network and labels such as EMI and Sony BMG.
While playphone.com/espanol was created specifically for the U.S. Latin market, the company has also launched a Brazilian site – playphone.com.br – with customized content and is planning to expand in some seven Latin American countries.
Most immediately, PlayPhone will launch in Argentina next month.
