Online retailer Play.com has launched a credit card that doubles up as a reward scheme.
The card is provided by banking partner MBNA and the holder be rewarded with two ‘PlayPoints’ for every £1 ($1.57) they spend at Play.com, while one point will be awarded for every £1 they spend outside Play.com. Each 100 points can be redeemed for £1 worth of vouchers.
“The Play.com card will be another way of rewarding our customers for their ongoing loyalty,” said COO Stuart Rowe in a statement.
Play.com is based in Jersey in the Channel Islands and its biggest market is the U.K. It focuses on entertainment and electrical products and had 3.6% of the recorded music market by expenditure and 4% by units in the U.K. last year, according to trade body the BPI.
