Alt-rock outfit Placebo has announced an exclusive online playback of its forthcoming album “Battle for the Sun” from 9am GMT this Friday (May 29).
To participate in the playback, fans need to register at www.placeboworld.co.uk to receive an exclusive code that allows access to the “Battle for the Sun” playback site. The playback ends at midnight on May 31.
“Battle for the Sun” is released June 8 through PIAS.
Placebo has also announced new U.K. and Irish tour dates, which begin at Birmingham LG Arena on Dec. 8. The tour then continues to London O2 Arena on Dec. 9, Bridlington Spa on Dec. 11, Manchester Central on Dec. 12, Glasgow SECC on Dec. 14 and Dublin Olympia Theater on Dec. 15. ITB books Placebo for the U.K. while the tour has various promoters including SJM Concerts, DF Concerts and Metropolis.
The multi-national band is currently touring the European festival circuit, including appearances at Rock Ness, Rock Werchter, Reading and Leeds, and Summer Sonic in Japan.
