Pitbull has added a new brand to his arsenal of endorsed and/or owned products. The artist is now the face and creative mind behind the Hispanic market campaign for Sheets Brand Energy Strips, a line of paper thin, energizing, individually wrapped pocket strips that dissolve on your tongue and purportedly provide energy for hours.
Pitbull, who is a partner in the brand, spearheaded a campaign that includes broadcast, radio and movie theater spots, as well as his own Sheets commercial (see above video). The spot, which shows Pitbull opening a Sheets pack, also features multiple images of Pitbull performing as he explains in a Spanish voice-over what Sheets is: “It isn’t a shot, it doesn’t come in a big package, it’s effective, it’s quick, it fits in your pocket.”
The commercial is part of Sheet’s national Facebook competition to find its next commercial, which fans can submit on the Sheets Facebook page. The winning commercial will air on national television this year.
Sheets was launched by PureBrands in June of 2011 with several celebrities and founding partners or investors, including LeBron James, Pitbull and Drake.
