Pink suits! Country-line dancing! Pigs swimming in the ocean! All of these things and more can be found in Pitbull and Ke$ha’s “Timber” music video, which premiered on Monday (Nov. 25) after the pop paired performed the rising hit at the 2013 American Music Awards the night before.
The harmonica-tinged jam gets a visual straight out of the saloon, with the sultry Ke$ha walking in slow motion while a gaggle of back-up performers get their “Coyote Ugly” on. But it’s not all cowboy hats and mechanical bulls: Pitbull pops up in the Bahamas for his verses, apparently gazing upon the livestock from afar and instead looking on with childlike wonder at a group of sharks in the crystal-clear blue water beneath his boat.

Along with inviting Ke$ha onstage for Sunday night’s “Timber” performance, Pitbull made his hosting debut at the 2013 AMAs, which were held live at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre. Hours after the show ended, Mr. 305 was back on TV, making an appearance on “Good Morning America” on Monday morning.
“Global Warming: Meltdown,” the deluxe edition of Pitbull’s 2012 album “Global Warming,” hit digital retailers on Monday, and includes five new tracks. “Timber” became Pit’s ninth Hot 100 Top 10 hit when it leapt to No. 10 on last week’s chart.
