Pink’s stories about progressive parenting have been some of her most shining moments of 2017, and other parents are taking note.
Pink took to Twitter to tell the story of a fellow mom stopping her in the supermarket to applaud her for her honesty about what it’s really like to be a mom, and it seems as though the encounter meant as much to Pink as it did to the fan.
A really sweet Mama came up 2me tonight at the grocery store and told me some nice words about how she gets strength from my parenting cause I’m not afraid to fuck up in public. We cried together. It’s so hard. Y’all. I wish us mamas could give ourselves and each other a break.

Earlier this year, Pink’s moving VMA Video Vanguard acceptance speech went viral, as she explained the struggles her daughter felt, describing herself at the age of 6 as “the ugliest girl she knew.”
Pink also made headlines when she explained to The Sunday People that she’s raising her daughter as gender-neutral, in what she described as a “very label-less household.”
Pink continues to question the idea of traditional parenting, and we are sure her grocery store encounter will not be her only tale of parenting admiration.
