When Pink Floyd posted a mysterious countdown on its website marked #TDB20, many fans surmised a monumental reunion announcement was coming. Instead, they’ll have to settle for a fancy box set.
The prog rock act is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its chart-topping 1994 album “Division Bell” with a commemorative box set. Inside, collectors will find a new double-LP vinyl gatefold edition of the album, remastered from the original analog tapes. It will include full-length tracks of every song, as the cuts were originally edited to fit on a single LP.

Five other discs are included: a red 7-inch vinyl replica of the single “Take It Back,” a clear 7-inch vinyl replica of “High Hopes,” a 12-inch blue vinyl replica of “High Hopes” a with reverse laser etched design, the 2011 Discovery remaster of “The Division Bell” and a Blu-ray disc including “The Division Bell” album in HD Audio, a previously unreleased 5.1 surround sound audio mix of the album by Andy Jackson, and a new music video for the Grammy-winning track “Marooned.”
In addition, the set includes a set of art prints designed by Pink Floyd collaborators Hopgnosis and StormStudios, in addition to a companion booklet.
It’s a great bounty of Pink Floyd artifacts to be sure, though many superfans had their hearts set on something bigger, as evidenced by the hastag #TDB20 on Twitter.
“The Division Bell” dropped March 28, 1994 and remains Pink Floyd’s last studio album to date. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, in addition to topping the charts in the United Kingdom, Australia and numerous other countries.
