Anyone who is a P!nk super-fan — or, you know, has seen her incredible VH1 “Behind The Music” episode — knows that her 2008 music video for “So What,” which featured a cameo from her then-estranged husband Carey Hart, actually helped the two rekindle their romance. Flash forward a half-decade, and the pop star has recruited Hart and their daughter, Willow, to make adorable appearances in the new music video for “True Love.”
Unlike the acrobatic artistry at the heart of P!nk’s “Try” video, the “True Love” clip finds the singer goofing around on a bike with her family in front of a green screen, while footage from her Truth About Love tour is spliced into the fray. Lily Allen, who is billed as Lily Rose Cooper on “The Truth About Love’s” track list but is credited by her more famous moniker here, pops up with some spunky bangs and a sharp knife, chopping up a carrot while delivering her guest spot.
“True Love” is the fourth single from “The Truth About Love” to receive a music video, following “Blow Me (One Last Kiss),” “Try” and “Just Give Me a Reason.” The latter, which features fun.’s Nate Ruess, hit No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart and resides at No. 10 on the current tally.
P!nk’s Truth About Love tour is currently in Australia, and returns to North America on Oct. 10.
