Phish’s four members reunited on stage for the first time in more than four years Saturday night (Sept. 6) at the New York wedding of former road manager Brad Sands.
According to reports, Trey Anastasio, Mike Gordon, Jon Fishman and Page McConnell performed “Suzy Greenberg,” “Julius” and “Waste” for the presumably stunned wedding guests.
Later, Police drummer Stewart Copeland jammed with the wedding band on his former band’s “Can’t Stand Losing You” and the Meters’ “Fire on the Bayou.”
The impromptu performance only adds fuel to speculation that Phish, which broke up in 2004, may reunite at some point in the near future. Gordon told Billboard.com earlier this summer that the members are exploring “the possibility of spending some time together.”
