As the United States waits in anticipation for votes in key battleground states to be tallied amid a heated presidential election, a group of Philadelphians have gathered outside the Pennsylvania city’s convention center to encourage the counting of every vote no matter how long it takes.
But the wait doesn’t mean they can’t have a little fun. In a video shared to Facebook on Thursday (Nov. 5), the group is seen grooving to McFadden & Whitehead’s disco hit, “Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now,” but with a fitting twist. “Ain’t no stoppin’ the count,” the protesters are heard singing as they dance around with signs that read, “Count every vote.”

The movement was sparked by President Donald Trump’s repeated, false claims suggesting that continued vote counting is fraudulent. On Wednesday morning, despite millions of as-yet-uncounted votes in a number of key states, Trump falsely declared victory over Democratic nominee Joe Biden, saying “this is a fraud on the American public” and vowing that he’ll be going “to the U.S. Supreme Court, we want all voting to stop.”
At the time of publication, results are still pending in Alaska, Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
