Pharrell Williams recently cried tears of joy on OWN’s “Oprah Prime” while watching fan-made “Happy” videos. Aside from that infectious beat that seems to make the world a better place, the singer has an equally contagious sense of style.
Pharrell is a style icon and streetswear pioneer who makes wearing huge hats (in every color) and tracksuits cool. We’re not sure who else could have successfully resurrected the hat. Adidas, G-Star jeans, Moncler, Comme des Garçons—all brands he’s collaborated with recently—and Billboard aren’t the only ones who think so.

Today (April 15) UNIQLO announced the in-store product launch of “i am OTHER,” a new collaboration with the dapper singer. Pharrell and street fashion icon NIGO – who took over as UNIQLO T-shirt (UT) Creative Director, created a collection comprised men’s and women’s T-shirts in 14 colors and patterns and seven styles of baseball caps, each with a message from Pharrell, including “Think Other” and “THE SAME IS LAME.” The line is both cool and affordable with tees and hats all under $20, actually coming in at a lower price point then the singer’s Billionaire Boy Club collection. It’s a great way to snatch the “Happy” crooner’s style on a dime.
“When I first tried some of the things we produced on, I couldn’t stop myself from showing it off. I was like, ‘Wow, this is going to be revolutionary.’ It’s so soft—gentle to the touch—and I just could not believe the price it’s going for,” Williams said on the collaboration.
UNIQLO is also kicking off a TV ad campaign featuring Pharrell, and the single “Come Get It Bae”, from his new album “G I R L.” The Pharrell Williams x UNIQLO “i am OTHER” is available now from UNIQLO’s online store and from April 21 in-stores worldwide.
