After a London man was bodyshamed online, celebrities, including Pharrell and Moby, are lining up to show their support for him.
It all started after photos of Sean were posted by a user on 4chan last month, reports The Independent. The photos showed the man dancing, along with an unfriendly comment from the user, “Spotted this specimen trying to dance the other week. He stopped when he saw us laughing.”
However, the cyberbullying didn’t go unnoticed. A L.A.-based activist, Cassandra Banks, decided to show her support for Sean on social media. She and her group, The Free Thought Project, are planning to throw the man, who joined Twitter under the handle @Dancingmanfound after he went viral, a dance party. A fund-raising page was started to support the cause and, as of press time, has already surpassed its $20,000 goal, getting over $36,000 in donations.
Just woke up to be greeted with so many more kind words. Big thanks again and am sure the charity will appreciate it as well. Thanks again
