On Saturday (Sept. 23) at NYC’s Global Citizen festival during Stevie Wonder’s politically-charged set, Pharrell Williams briefly took the stage in a never-before-seen Human Made x N.E.R.D. satin bomber. The white and yellow jacket featured Chinese style writing down the sleeves and on the back, along with an embroidered illustration of the band.
The rapper-producer has been linked to Human Made several times in the past, seen modeling their clothing for a ‘SENSE’ magazine 2017 spring/summer editorial, and the two even collaborated to create a P. Williams sweatshirt back in 2014. Human Made pieces can also be found on Williams’ own brand’s—Billionaire Boys Club—website, though the bomber has not made an appearance online. With their long-standing relationship, fans couldn’t help but wonder if another collab is in the works.
The 44-year-old style icon and bandmates Chad Hugo and Shae Haley are set to headline this year’s ComplexCon in November, and with Pharrell’s design repertoire, it’d be no surprise if this was a preview of what’s to come.
