Music is magic. It changes the way we feel and see the world, but it’s invisible, even as it floats throughout the air around us, and Peking Duk‘s collaboration with AlunaGeorge is the kind of spell that can turn a frog into a dance floor diva.
“Fake Magic” is hip house pop with a tinge of darkness to keep things interesting. Peking Duk killed it with the walking bassline and muted guitar, perfectly designed to warm any wall flower. The video plays up its nocturnal funk with dim lights and neon colors. Aluna Francis is all up in it, too, and she’s a superstar.
