Pearl Jam will be hitting the road for a 2014 fall U.S. tour this October, the band announced today (May 21) via PearlJam.com. The trek launches October 1 in Cincinnati, Ohio and makes a swing through the midwest and south, hitting cities including Memphis and Detrot, before landing in Denver on Oct. 22.
The fall 2014 dates go onsale to the general public on May 30. A pre-sale for current members of the band’s fan club is underway now. Ticket information is available at PearlJam.com.
Pearl Jam’s new tour, which also includes the previously announced gigs co-headlining both weekends of the Austin City Limits Music Festival (October 3-5, and October 10-12), takes place a couple of months after the veteran Seattle group returns from a month-long run of dates in Europe from June 16-July 11.
All of this touring activity follows a busy fall 2013 and early 2014 which saw Pearl Jam release “Lightning Bolt,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. They also toured the east and west coast of the U.S. and headlined Australia & New Zealand’s Big Day Out Festival tour.
