Vega formed Suicide, the trailblazing electronic-punk duo, with multi-instrumentalist Martin Rev in 1970. He died in his sleep on July 16 at the age of 78. Bruce Springsteen, who covered “Dream Baby Dream” on his 2005 Devils and Dust Tour, later described Vegas as one of the “great revolutionary voices in rock & roll.”
