The pop anthem marks a big departure from the pop-punk of Stump’s former band, and the singer pairs his new sound with equally striking visuals. Stump is seen dancing around in a tuxedo, black leather gloves and blonde spiky hair, as graphics of fire explode around him.
Patrick Stump: Solo Album Has ‘Nothing To Do with Fall Out Boy’
“Soul Punk,” due out Oct. 18, will be Stump’s first studio album since Fall Out Boy went on hiatus in 2009. He’ll be setting out with Panic! At The Disco for a month-long national tour starting Oct. 9 in Reno, Nev. Meanwhile, FOB bassist Pete Wentz has also been busy with his new electropop duo Black Cards, and guitarist Joe Trohman and drummer Andy Hurley have formed The Damned Things with members from Anthrax and Every Time I Die.
