Vancouver producer Pat Lok has not-so-quietly pushed the boundaries in the dance music world with a fresh style that ranges from disco/funk-influenced house grooves to more experimental offerings. He first made headlines two years back with his uptempo edit of Cashmere Cat‘s “Kiss Kiss,” and back in October, he dropped his latest club-ready original single “Your Lips,” featuring fellow-Vancouver act, DiRTY RADiO.
Today, the rising star drops the official remix EP for the track exclusively via Billboard, featuring stunning reworks from Dutch producer Tony Tritone, LA duo Christian Rich, and U.K. producer Crvvcks.
“I’m really excited to share these remixes for ‘Your Lips’ following the excellent response to the original,” Lok tells Billboard. “I’ve been following Tony Tritone for a minute and his ’80s funk rendition reminds me of a cross between Change and BB & Q Band. Crvvcks is one of my favorite up and coming U.K. house producers and turns Shaddy’s vocals out over this deeper club number. Rounding out the package, Christian Rich brings the heavy synths over their signature futuristic bass production. Definitely something for everyone here!”
