Paris Jackson, Charlize Theron and Dame Shirley Bassey will be heading to Life Ball in Vienna this year as the first batch of confirmed congratulators.
Life Ball, organized by Life+ will be hosting its 25th gala—known as one of the largest and most influential AIDS charity events—at the Vienna City Hall on June 2.
Jackson will be representing her godmother’s Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, and will also be receiving the special honor of the Life+ Award. “I’m passionate about ending the stigma and misinformation surrounding HIV/AIDS, and that’s why I have made it a mission of mine to continue this fight for acceptance and a cure. I’m so proud of the work ETAF is doing, and for receiving the LIFE+ Award! The grant from Life Ball will go towards this life-saving work,” she said in a statement.
The event will be Theron’s second time attending, representing her organization, the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, while Bassey will represent amfAR.
Life+, formerly known as Aids Life, is an independent non-profit that aims to raise public awareness and raise funds for those affected by HIV/AIDs.
