Shortly before 6 p.m. ET Friday evening (Nov. 13), President Obama addressed the nation with brief remarks regarding the ongoing terror situation in Paris.
“Once again we’ve seen an outrageous attempt to terrorize innocent civilians,” President Obama said about the attacks. “This is an attack not just on Paris, not just on the people of France but this is an attack on all of humanity and the universal values that we share.”

“We’re going to do whatever it takes to work with French people and nations around the world to bring these terrorists to justice and go after any terrorist networks that go after our people,” Obama remarked.
“This is a heartbreaking situation, and obviously those of us here in the United States know what it’s like. We’ve gone through these kinds of episodes ourselves, and whenever these kinds of attacks happen, we’ve always been able to count on the French people to stand with us,” Obama continued. “They have been an extraordinary counter-terrorism partner, and we intend to bear with them in that same fashion.”
