Shortly after Black Sabbath’s alleged farewell show was altered, Ozzy Osbourne has issued an update on the legendary band’s swan song.
At São Paulo, Brazil’s Monsters of Rock festival (where he also performed), Osbourne spoke at a press conference and addressed Sabbath’s future. Skip to the one-minute mark for the update:

“We all live in different countries now,” Osbourne explained. “Some want to work, some don’t. We are going to do another tour together… The plan is that next year [we’ll do] the final Black Sabbath tour and album.”
Here’s What It Will Take For Bill Ward to Rejoin Black Sabbath
The “some want to work, some don’t” comment is likely a jab at drummer Bill Ward. Earlier this month, Ward wrote on his official Facebook page that he would not rejoin Sabbath without an apology from Osbourne for “often inaccurate statements” and a “singable” contract.
On April 9, a rep from Sabbath told Billboard, “There have been ongoing discussions about a Sabbath farewell tour, though nothing has been officially confirmed by the band.”
That same day, a Ward-less version of Black Sabbath backed out of a November headlining appearance at Ozzfest Japan. They were replaced by an Ozzy Osbourne solo set.
Billboard reached out to Black Sabbath’s camp, which said there is no further news regarding the band at thie time.
