Andre 3000 and Big Boi may not be performing as OutKast anymore, but the duo came together for a very special occasion on Saturday (May 11).
Big Boi’s son Cross graduated from Woodward Academy near Atlanta, Georgia, and the duo were both in attendance. Big Boi congratulated his son on his acceptance to the University of Oregon with a #GoDucks in his caption. Cross, who will be playing football at the university, is a running back who also received scholarships from schools including Columbia, Butler and Virginia State, according to Yahoo Sports.
In a sweet father-son post, Big Boi shared some reflective thoughts. “It’s been 1 hell of a journey,” he wrote alongside a photo with his son holding his degree, followed by a series of adorable throwback shots. “raising 3 Kids , private school to College Degrees , never woulda thought this Rap Shit would have brought me here , To God be the Glory , #ThanksJesus Let’s Go Cross !”
