Earlier this year, Avicii suddenly decided to retire from touring.
“I just feel happy,” he told Billboard not long after the announcement. “I feel free at this point. Like I have my private life back and focusing on myself for the first time in a long time. This was obviously the hardest decision of my life so far. But so far it has paid off tremendously in terms of well-being for me. I’m happier than I have been in a very very long time.”

The superstar DJ’s first piece of post-announcement music, a collaboration with fellow Swede Otto Knows, is now available through Big Beat Records. Otto recently hopped on Twitter to share news of the release. “New song I made with Avicii out on Friday!” he wrote. The track has a pointed title that appears to address Avicii’s decision to walk away from touring to focus on his personal life: “Back Where I Belong.”
