Oh Pharrell, how we heart thee. The music talent is known for turning heads with his wacky yet always cool style, as evident in the now infamous Vivienne Westwood mountie hat he wore to the GRAMMYs and, uh, beyond.
But the Oscar-nominated performer ditched the headgear on Sunday, instead opting to start a new style discussion with a Lanvin short tux.
“It’s been so brilliant working with Pharrell because he loves clothes, he’s fearless, he’s fun,” Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz told THR’s Pret-a-Reporter in Paris on Friday. The performer also wore the French label to the Brit Awards on February 19 by way of a killer silver suit.

Like the Pharrell’s Hat meme that took the GRAMMYs by storm in mere minutes last January, the producer and singer — who currently holds the No. 1 song on the Hot 100 with “Happy,” itself an Oscar nominee for best song — is already making waves over the Internet with his newest fashion choice on the red carpet, accompanied by wife Helen Lasichanh, who he married last October. That even includes a parody Twitter account, which was created moments after Pharrell’s red carpet appearance.
Let the @PharrellShorts fun begin.
Just made my #RedCarpet debut at the #Oscars. Feeling pretty badass.
