
The Orlando shooting at gay nightclub Pulse Orlando has left 50 killed and 53 injured, resulting in being the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.

“There’s blood everywhere,” Mayor Buddy Dyer said Sunday (June 12) at a news conference, hours after the shooting which authorities are investigating as an act of terrorism.
The tragedy has been classified as a “domestic terror incident” and has rocked the nation and the LGBT community, with many politicians, including Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, celebrities and public figures swiftly reacting on social media.

ATX Festival, the annual TV festival in Austin, Texas, canceled a violence-themed panel scheduled for Sunday in the wake of events and the Human Rights Campaign released a statement, saying HRC has lowered its flag to half mast.
Many in Hollywood took to Twitter to react to the news, including Laura Benanti who is currently in rehearsal for tonight’s Tony Awards which will be dedicated to victims of the shooting.
