Concurrent with the release of the 14th “Now That’s What I Call Music!” CD compilation, a similar DVD will be issued under the same banner. The 20-track audio disc features tracks by the likes of Beyoncé, Black Eyed Peas, Justin Timberlake, Fountains Of Wayne and Good Charlotte, while the 15-track DVD boasts clips from Jane’s Addiction, Coldplay, Jessica Simpson and B2K.
Both will be released Nov. 4 via Columbia. The series is a cooperative project from Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, the EMI Music Group and the Zomba Group.
Only three songs on the CD are featured in video form on the DVD — Mya’s “My Love Is Like… Wo,” Ginuwine’s “In Those Jeans” and Stacie Orrico’s “(There’s Gotta Be) More To Life.” Pop rock act 3 Doors Down appears with a different song on each, as “Here Without You” is included on the CD and “When I’m Gone” is on the DVD.
Released in July, “Now That’s What I Call Music! Vol. 13” debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 and has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for U.S. shipments of 1 million copies. Every volume in the series has appeared in the top-10 of the album chart.
