NOW PLAYING JAPAN LIVE Vol. 1, the music event sponsored by Billboard Japan and Space Shower TV with the support of six of Japan’s major streaming services — Apple Music, AWA, Google Play Music, KKBOX, LINE MUSIC and Recochoku Best — has announced the complete lineup for its inaugural March 19 event.
The veteran hip-hop group KICK THE CAN CREW will headline along with the popular rock band THE ORAL CIGARETTES, and the six-member girl group BiSH has also joined the “NOW PLAYING ARTIST” lineup representing today’s most-played artists.
Miracle Vell Magic was the winner of the STARTERS MATCH, in which up-and-coming artists competed to become the most-streamed artist on the aforementioned streaming services. The self-produced pop singer and dancer won the right to perform live at NOW PLAYING JAPAN LIVE Vol. 1, and will also appear in an online video in collaboration with the distance learning publisher U-CAN. She’ll also get a regular spot on a popular Space Shower TV program.
Billboard Japan and Space Shower TV’s NOW PLAYING JAPAN project aims to create new music trends together with listeners. The invite-only NOW PLAYING JAPAN LIVE Vol. 1 event will take place March 19 at Tokyo Zepp DiverCity, and registration for invites will be open until March 5 local time.
