London-based music publisher Notting Hill Music Group has signed Jon Pearn and Nick Bridges to an exclusive, long-term publishing deal.
The British duo are the songwriters behind the current crossover hit Bodyrox feat. Luciana single “Yeah Yeah” (Eye Industries).
The track is currently No. 2 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart, with sales of more than 23,180 units. It debuted on the chart last week at No. 11 on downloads alone, helping it to a No. 8 opening on the Euro Digital Songs chart. “Yeah Yeah” remains without a U.S. label.
In a statement, Andy McQueen, chairman of the Notting Hill Music Group, commented, “Jon and Nick are red hot at the moment and their signing is a real coup for Notting Hill. ‘Yeah Yeah’ is a huge hit and we are confident that there are plenty more where that came from.”
The music publisher was formed in 1990 as the international repertoire division of Japan’s Nippon Television Music. It became Notting Hill Music after a management buyout in 1993. A U.S. division was launched in 2003.
