Queens, NY-based rapper Noreaga has inked a deal with Def Jam CEO Jay-Z’s new world music label, Roc-LA-Familia to release an all-reggaeton album.
The album, titled “Nore a La Familia” is set to drop in March 2006 and will feature guest appearances by current reggaeton sensations Daddy Yankee, Hector Bambino and Zion & Lennox. Previously, Noreaga, who’s part Latino, and Daddy Yankee teamed up for 2004’s “Oye Mi Canto,” which reached No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The album isn’t the only thing Nore has on his plate. He’s also in the studio working on a hip-hop release, “One Fan a Day,” which is slated for a January 2006 release. The album, due out under the Def Jam imprint, features guest appearances by Mariah Carey, the Neptunes’ Pharrell Williams and the late rapper, Big Pun.
