Sean Moriarty, president and CEO of Ticketmaster, will deliver a keynote speech at the Noorderslag Weekend music event in the Dutch city of Groningen, from Jan. 10-12.
Other key speakers include Ed Bicknell, senior VP and head of music international at the William Morris Agency and a former manager of Dire Straits, Mark Knopfler and Bryan Ferry, plus Leon Ramakers, former director of Dutch promoter Mojo Concerts and currently consultant to the Live Nation subsidiary.
Around 100 panels and meetings will take place during the three-day seminar, which which has developed into one of Europe’s main gatherings for promoters and live music booking agents.
Discussion topics include “Exporting Your Music,” Radio Rights at Festivals”, “Health and Safety at Festivals”, and “Green and Clean Workshops”. The spotlight will fall on the Swedish market, which will be the focus of two panels and an industry meet-and-greet session.
The Noorderslag Weekend also features the Eurosonic and Nooderslag music festivals, with about 250 bands registered to perform.
Organizers include the not-for-profit Noorderslag Foundation in co-operation with Dutch-music promotion organization Buma Cultuur and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
