Finnish metal veterans Children of Bodom, U.S. rockers Avenged Sevenfold and Welsh metalcore act Bullet For My Valentine are among the double-nominees for Metal Hammer magazine’s sixth annual Golden God Awards, June 16 at the O2 in London.
Children of Bodom are up for best U.K. band and best album, while Avenged Sevenfold and Bulletin For My Valentine are both in the running for best international band video and best album.
Oderus Urungus, a member of heavy metal act GWAR, will host the ceremony, which recognizes the best in the rock and metal business.
Readers of the monthly Future U.K.-published magazine and its Web site can cast votes for most of the fields.
The magazine’s editorial team decides the categories for best album, the inspiration award, and the top gong, the “Spirit of Hammer” award.
