The National Music Publishers’ Assn. has added another lawyer to its legal team. Kathryn Wagner joins the trade group as VP/counsel.
Wagner will help manage NMPA’s litigation efforts on behalf of music publishers and songwriters. She will also work on the organization’s legislative and policy initiatives. Based in New York, Wagner reports to Jacqueline Charlesworth, NMPA senior VP/general counsel.
Wagner joins the NMPA from Pryor Cashman, where she was part of the litigation group for 10 years focusing on intellectual property, corporate and securities litigation.
The NMPA has also promoted Jamie Marotta to director of member relations and
the trade group’s political action committee. Marotta will also be closely involved with the recently announced NMPA Gold and Platinum Composition Award program.
